Sign up for an account

First, Visit platform.openai.com and sign up or log in with your OpenAI account

Create the API Key

1. Click your profile icon in the top right, then select "API keys" from the left side menu
2. On the API keys page, click the "Create new secret key" button
3. Enter a name for the key (optional), choose permissions if needed, then click "Create secret key"
4. Copy the generated key immediately—it displays only once—and store it securely in a password manager.
